Cauliflower Pizza Crust
  • 1 large head cauliflower
  • 4 tablespoons flax meal
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 - 1 cup brown rice flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt-free Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
1. Combine flax meal and water and set aside to thicken in the fridge.2. Chop cauliflower into small pieces. Steam for 10-15 minutes until cauliflower is completely soft. Allow to cool slightly. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.3. Transfer cauliflower to a clean kitchen towel, cheesecloth or nut milk bag. Wring out as much water as possible.4. Combine cauliflower pulp, soaked flaxseed, rice flour and seasonings to form a stiff dough that sticks together when squeezed in your palm. Add up to 1/4 extra cup of rice flour as needed. (Amount needed will depend on size of your cauliflower and how much water you squeezed out.)5. Using wet hands (to keep the dough from sticking), pat dough into about 1/4" thickness on a lined baking tray. You can make two 8-9" round crusts, or one large crust.6. Bake 25-30 minutes, until edges are golden brown.7. Remove from oven, add desired toppings and return to oven to heat through for 8-10 minutes.
